Don’t worry. Follow these steps to get yourself up and running:
- Make sure your aerial lead is plugged into your TV
- Retune your TV: look in your TV instruction manual for ‘auto tune’.
- Check the Freeview coverage in your area.
If you’re still not getting Freeview as you’d expect, call us on 0845 873 8595 and we’ll come to find out why.
Simply update your new address with Sky and let us know when you’re moving and we’ll come and connect you in your new home!
You can programme your Sky Q remote control to operate your TV as well as your Sky Q box. If we installed your system, we would have set this up for you. However, the remote control can become ‘unpaired’ from your TV if (1) you remove the batteries and do not replace them within 10 minutes or (2) you get a new TV.
If this happens, you’ll need to pair the remote control and TV again. Press the Interactive button on the remote control, then choose Sky Help and Support and follow the instructions on your screen. You’ll find help and advice on other problems here too. Or you can visit Sky’s help pages to find out more.
Don’t worry; we’re here to help. First, follow these steps to check if the problem is with your box:
- If you’re in a communal block: do your neighbours have the same problem? If they do, it’s a problem with the communal satellite system, not your box. Call us on 0845 873 8595 and we’ll come out and get it sorted.
- Check your TV is on the Sky channel: use your TV remote control to check your TV is set to the correct source. For Sky Q, this is usually called HDMI1 or HD. For more information on checking your TV source setting, please check your TV instruction manual.
- Reboot your Sky Q box: simply unplug your Sky Q box from the wall, wait 10 seconds, then plug it in and switch it on again. You’ll need to give it 10 minutes to reboot before trying to watch Sky.
If you’ve got a message on your screen saying ‘Your Sky Q box isn’t getting a satellite signal’, call us on 0845 873 8595. We’ll try to fix the issue over the phone or, if that’s not possible, we’ll arrange for an engineer to come out to you. Sky Q equipment is now loaned to you from Sky and should you experience any technical issues with the equipment you won’t be charged for a standard service visit or a replacement from Sky.
Of course. Our engineer will give you a full demonstration and won’t leave until you’re happily channel surfing and using the clever new features at your fingertips.
Yes. We can do our work in any weather. Come rain or shine, we’ll be there.
A uniformed ABS engineer will arrive and talk you through the available installation options – e.g. cable free, if it’s available – before starting the installation. The engineer will be with you for anything up to 4 hours – though he’ll be working outside your property for most of that time. He’ll typically spend about 40 minutes inside your home, which includes teaching you how to use your new Sky/Freeview/Freesat box once it’s up and running.
Yes. Tell us what you need and we can give you a quote for all the work and complete it in one visit.
Yes, we can give you full Sky functionality without any additional cables in your home. Our solution is suitable for most apartments. Give us a call on 0845 873 8595 to find out more.
We usually install within 7-10 days of you placing an order. This gives Sky enough time to send out your viewing card, which we’ll need to get you set up. Once we’ve received your order, we shall call you to arrange a date that’s convenient for you and your house manager (if you live in a communal block).
No, we’ll take care of everything for you. We’ll order your viewing card, get the right set-top box, and arrange your subscription too. All you need to worry about is what to watch first.
Yes we do. We’ve been installing Sky in properties of every size and shape for more than 30 years – including Sky’s own HQ. Our services include installing and maintaining digital TV and security systems for schools, hospitals, hotels and pubs all over the country.
There isn’t one. We’ll come and install the system even if just one resident wants to be connected to it. But we do give discounts if your neighbours are connected at the same time, so it’s worth finding out if they’re interested. Speak to us to arrange a no-obligation group meeting to discuss your block’s needs.
Yes we do. We’re an approved Sky Partner, so we’ve got the inside scoop on the latest deals and promotions. Plus, if you’re in a communal block, we’ll give you and your neighbours a group discount when you sign up to have Sky or Freesat installed together.
Yes you can. Unlike many other installers, we’ve designed our system to give you as many connections as you want, wherever you want them. Sky Multiscreen lets you watch TV all around your home. The Sky Q Mini box wirelessly connects to your main box allowing you to watch on up to two more TVs at the same time.
